Jagex estimates 40,00 Bots currently run and about 3000-5000 get banned monthly, Let's just say Minimum that 5% of those bots are membered. That is $11,980 p/m x 12mnths = $143,760. We are the public so our figures we get aren't precise, but it equals a fortune... Than you add the legit member's and you get a HUGE amount of in-come for the company that isn't fighting against bots. It's what makes RuneScape $$$$$$
 
Moots, then remember how many servers they have running. 200 ish servers x over $1000 in recources and data usage permonth. Then all the staff need to get payed.

Yer, they make money. I agree on that. But not at much profit as people might be thinking.
 

They collected way more than that, they were bragging that they got 10k names in like 2 days and pretty much all are banned.

They are fed up, they collect probably 1.5k names a day.

Bots make them money, I honestly don't see why they scramble so much to ban them. Why don't they go out and spend their money and say they're doing something about it when they aren't. :thumbsup:
