Jacking tag question

Recently I've been friends with this guy who owns a pretty OG gamertag, I told him I'd partner his channel. He gave me the access to his channel but its not the email to the OG gamertag. What can I say/do to get access to his OG gamertag?

Sorry, I haven't made myself clear. Yes, and the email the Gt is linked to probably has a dumb YouTube linked to it that he doesn't care about.

Yes, but the Gt is inactive, he hasn't been on it In about 1 to 2 years. Not that that justifies it, but it does make it a bit more ok.

Edit: ok I guess I've made myself sound like an asshole lol, he isn't my friend, but were becoming "friends". Probably makes me look like even more of an asshole but whatever.

Then why don't you just ask him to give you it free if he doesn't use the account?
