It's up to us. Calling all usergroup and award owners.

Before I even bother getting started, I would like you all to grasp the concept of supply and demand.

Supply and demand is graciously defined as the amount of a commodity, product, or service available and the desire of buyers for it, considered as factors regulating its price. Thanks Google, you fucking cunt.

If there is a high supply, there is a low demand. If there is a low supply, there is a high demand.

We are all aware that there is a extortionate amount of usergroups and user-owned awards, but why do we allow the supply have a bearing on their price? Sure, supply and demand will forever have an impact on market prices, however, we control the market. We control the prices. We do not have to sell usergroups and awards for next-to-nothing prices, however, we sympathetically do. Why, you may ask. It's simple. Many users spend money on usergroups and awards with hopes of making a profit off of them. It sounds brilliant, but in all honesty, it's absurd. Sure, spending money without making money in return may seem pointless, but the point behind usergroups and awards is not to satisfy your wallet. Usergroups and user-owned awards are a privilege that we must pay for. Why pay for something and sell it for the same if not a lower price than what you got it for?

I am calling on usergroup and award owners to take a vow in an effort to raise the price of such commodities, and essentially make usergroups and awards worth owning.

What I firmly believe usergroups and awards should be sold for based on their perks. Friendly reminder: Generic usergroups used to sell for $400.00 and generic awards $100.00+.

Usergroup with custom font: $400.00
Usergroup with .gif userbar: $350.00
Generic usergroup: $250.00

Award with .gif icon: $100.00
Award with 48x48 icon: $100.00
Generic Award (24x24): $75.00

I know what's next. I am prepared for the bitching in regards to the lack of users' willingness to pay such prices. Why, as usergroup or award owners, should we care if they're are not willing to pay such prices. That means to me they are not that interested in becoming a usergroup or award owner. We should not be that desperate to allow awards to be sold for $30.00 and usergroups for barely over $100.00. That's pathetic to me. If users aren't willing to pay top dollar for such perks, then guess what? Fuck 'em. You get what you pay for. If you can't afford it, look into investing in other items.

I will add additional things later. I just wanted to spread the word.

Finally someone says it. I suggest all group/award owners take a look at this thread.

Groups shouldn't be used as an investment.

This issue had been steadily increasing for the past few months. It is honestly an annoyance to see prices drop so low, when they have so much more potential. I wish we would fix this, and those pesky buyin awards.

@Jason it won't matter Philly adds new groups every month so this won't happen

This seems like a good idea although many people will just sell it for less to their friends. In my opinion it would be better if there was a rule where the priced increased by $50 everytime you sold it.

Lol

The main problem, however, is broke kids investing in usergroups and awards thinking they can tack on a hefty buy-in. Once they realize no one wants to purchase a group membership or a buy-in for their shitty award, they sell it. Unreliable owners are deteriorating these commodities.

But this won't work if Philly sells a group for $100 in his typical discount thread, people will just wait for that won't they? Perhaps if he charges $200 in the discount or something, I don't know.

Usergroups and awards should not be discounted to begin with. It ruins their exclusivity.

a RULE? that wouldn't be.. would not be very smart. Just suggest it don't make it a rule.. you can't exactly tell the usergroup owner "Hey, I know you bought this for 300$ and no one wants to buy it but you cannot sell it for less then 350$ now. New rule*"
Doesn't that sound quite silly?

as jason said above, groups shouldn't be on discount. Philly is a Money whore. He does not give a fuck about the groups and awards. He just sells and sells. Why? Because he'll make more money.

Can you blame him? Yes. He could be a money whore but still be better and not sell as many groups.

@Complexdur I see your point, maybe the $50 rule should be until the group prices reaches $200 . Also Jason is not banned, he just a line through his name lol

Ah, I hate when people do that. Oh well.. I kind of though so when I looked down and saw his last post (not the thread post) 3minutes ago.

And my point is that you can't exactly tell someone that bought it how much they can sell it for. Philly can do that but the owners already bought it. It would be very very awkward for the owners to be told they cannot sell it for 50$.

Philly should stop selling groups for a year. It would make them worth more possibly.

See, your a MODERATOR and you know this. Usually staff would disagree with something like this because they have behind-the-scenes-information but yet you didn't. This proves its a real problem.
