True OP, however, the quality is nowhere near high. I agree that these contests are a great way to promote activity among the forums but I can't stand logging on to see four threads that haven't been active for ages, suddenly be replied to, by the same person, nonetheless, posting random comments that don't even have to do with the topic.

Imho, its better to have a less active forum with a good user database rather than a fuckload of kiddies posting random comments trying to make their e-penises look bigger.
 
i'm active at certain times. but it is true, EVERYONE tries to post at least a little more during contests. But idc anymore cuz i don't wanna spam the forums.
 
Solidify is right. I have seen about 20 threads today get resurrected from '10 because they want to get more posts. Also, there are so many lame threads being made so people will post on them and hey can get rgpoints.
