Is revenge rep allowed?

Rep really isn't a big deal around here since we have vouches, so ya it is
 
It has been a constant debated topic, yes and no. Face it revenge rep is often justified by the same thing as positive rep "Well rep is the opinion of the giver of the given" However, it is often because a low quality member is negatively rep'd so they unfairly rep back. But you are justifying your negative rep, the same as they are.

Justify your given reputation with a real reason and you will have no problems. Reputation isn't taken as seriously here as on other forums.
 
If they give you red apples Give them Red apples
Revenge rep is allowed
But you cant be flaming or threatening in your rep <-- Keep that in mind

So if some dick gives you a -rep just give him one back laughing at him saying RED APPLES HERE -Insert FU bunny-
 
Reputation systems are intrinsically flawed simply because they will always be abused. Therefore, if people can give positive reputation for no apparent reason then I don't see anything wrong with giving revenge reputation; it's pretty much meaningless anyway.
 

Only thing users cannot abuse is the Vouch system
You complete a deal with a user you both vouch each other
You cant just go around - vouching or + vouching for no reason =D

So yea rep can be messed with but Vouch system cant be
 

The reputation system here doesn't mean anything except how well-liked you are on the forum. On other forums, it's used as a means of trust etc... Not here.

Yeah. Well it's exactly the same problem as on HackForums, except it's exacerbated there.

There is no problem whatsoever with the reputation system here, it's absolutely fine. Complaints are rare, too.

Oh okay - I've seen a couple of instances, but they're probably isolated.
