is having a expensive cellphone boosts your confidence?

hey there! i was just wondering whether having an expensive, latest, high-tech, touch-screen cellphones boost your confidence when you are in the crowd? does it make any difference when you have nice gadgets compared to those cellphones that were made few years ago? as for me, i am very much contented with the phone i have as long as you can call and text people and keep updated to happenings. how about you? evil:
 
well I think yes it does makes us feel confident to have expensive cell phones. But I don't like showing off really. Everything that is expensive is ultimately thought as a show off.
 

Having the latest trend of everything will surely do boost my confidence but I am satisfied with my phone right one because it will not impose risks to my well-being. Haha! I tried having that iphone and it did boost my confidence but unfortunately, it was robbed from me so, I am back with the old model but I don't really mind at all. It is ok. I can still communicate with people.
 

In a way. it does make me feel good having a little expensive phone. The latest phones are cool and you can do a lot of things on it.
 
For me no problem i can use any kind of mobile set,i mean if i get call and receive call thats all for me,it is use less for me the expensive one.
 

well it just makes a person higher than a person with lower cellphone unit :laugh: it's just all in the mind :Ninja:
 
I think cellphones do boost confidence too it kind of like a social status to some people cause having an expensive cellphone means you're rich. In my case I'm very happy with my cellphone.


 
For me, this is not really a confidence-booster. Having confidence means knowing that you are good even without the latest gadgets. But I must admit that there are times when I feel that I am above the rest when I have some gadgets. But I know, this is not true.
 

Well, sometimes we can't avoid not to feel envy with those new gadgets but of course the main functions of phones is just to send sms and call somebody. That's a very simple thing we can have by our phone without regards as to what model and type it is today to the crowd.

It's still nice to experience having those new phones in order for us to feel that we are in a modern world.
 
Well for some people it boosts their ego and not their confidence I presume because for one if you are sure of yourself what does a high end gadget have compared to the great personality you have? To be honest it is more of a status quo for most people. They just wanna flaunt it to make others know that they are in the "in" crowd and that they are well off and can afford to buy such gadgets. But if we look on the practical side, having an expensive cellphone makes you broke and you'll end up wanting to buy another expensive phone once the gadget you have depreciates in the market and in the eyes of the other people. Why try to please the people around you with this stuff if you have great personality and the people you get along are really friends even if you are the poorest of all they will accept you for who you are. Another thing, an expensive cellphone is an eye catcher to snatchers and thieves lurking in the mall or in other public places.
 
Most people do.
They think and feel that having the newest gadget ,mobile phone will give them a "handsome" status.
But for me,as long as my mobile phone can make calls and send messages that would be fine for me even if that's the oldest model and not even selling in stores.
 
If you have a better cell phone it will make you feel better. If someone has a worse phone than you, you feel above them.
 
to be honest yes it really boost my confident. but practically speaking it's not good idea. you just put your self in danger because now a days there is a lot of hold-upper rooming around.so i rather use my old one atleast i can exposed it even im in crowded area. hehehe
 
I don't have an expensive cellphone. I think having things that we want boosts someones personality but I wouldn't say expensive. I think its in the mindset of a person, right? Having things to boost you or inspire you doesn't mean to be expensive. I know someone who have an expensive iphone but she only uses it for text messageing and calls. She thinks it is too complicated to use but I think it boost her
 
In a way it does but I do not really show it off especially in public places because of the pickpockets that may be passing by the area.
