Is having a curfew for teenagers a good way to instill discipline?

I don't have a curfew for my teenager daughter but I made it clear to her that there are limitations of her rights and she must be responsible for her actions. Some parents I know impose curfew for their teenage children which are often broken and ignored. Do you think curfew time for teenagers will make them more disciplined and responsible?

Instead of dogmatizing better accompany lovingly and deviate them from vices indirectly. when you prohibit they do more and repeatedly

Parents, know their children better. And there are children who are plainly responsible that come home at a specific required time even there is no curfew. Teenagers nowadays are getting wilder if you will restrict them and implied them a policy. In some point, curfew is a good thing to impose like in our place now that no minors will be roaming around after a specific time implemented, and they follow it. In some families it is applicable to discipline the children but in some home its not because there are children who are really hard headed. Afraid of confrontation of going home late they would prefer to stay at their friends overnight. Curfew hour policy is still depends the nature parents and children relationship.

most times there are curfews set for children under a certain age. On the other hand it certainly depends on how old your teenager is, where they would be, what they... But for me its quite good.

my siblings and i were never given curfew hours but we grew up all responsible. i remember i went home at 2am for 2 consecutive days because we had a school activity of which my friends and i were a part of the preparation. i was never scolded because i told them the truth of what i have been doing. but, i notice that behavior of young people today are much different than before, perhaps, because, today, there are more places to go to, leading to more different activities -sometimes good, sometimes bad- so, i might as well agree on giving curfew hours to today's teenagers.

I'm still a kid and I'm not a parent yet but I do think curfew works and parents should carry out on it. If a child gets fined for it, then you should give them a consequence.
