Is botting Soul Wars a good way to train?

Depends on the level. It's easy to bot, so it's good in that way but it takes pretty long. However, there are no randoms there.
Save up zeal and use it (buying 100 at a time) on a 90+ stat. (Str/attk/def gives the best xp, then range/mage then prayer and then slayer).

If you are a pure, soul wars is a good way to train. If you have a good defence level then go to regular training places.

You can SW easily, don't spend zeal until like 80 str though.
 
Start training at soul wars, keep the zeal. When you hit 90 str or something, just use it all (be sure it's the right amount -- don't over spend).
