I get this when I view PMs from the Alerts tab.
 
EDIT : I also have this problem, Let's just keep it that way.
Reported it to @Philly a while back, the notification fails to get the correct pmid and hence this error. Probably because of upgrade to mybb 1.8 and the plugin isn't officially released for 1.8, only a dev version exists and ofcourse it has bugs.

i dunno what ur talking about but i'll take it LOL
 
I get the same error, it's pretty annoying but it's been happening to every myBB forum I go on, so I think it's a universal thing
 
Every staff is well aware of this and it has been reported several times

Or you hacked the messaging system
