IP Address Question-Xbox Related

I'm currently talking to someone from UK who maybe willing to sell me there major OG tag.
Even though i have created a fresh account, could Microsoft see my IP and ban my other Gamertags i use to sign in on my IP address?
I use Xbox.com obvs not my Xbox one.

Should i be private browsing whilst doing this?
 
if it's from the xbox website the chance is low

if the account was consoled there's a good chance other accounts may get banned

No the account was just created on xbox.com, then simply signed in and used to message the guy.

What I'm saying is could Microsoft link my other tags through my IP address?
