Love this new update just for this reason, these are the steps I suggest doing it!! Update to iOS 7.0.3 then follow them.

Simply hit Settings / General / Accessibility / Reduce Motion, and then toggle the Reduce Motion button.

Once done, you’ll move between apps and your home screen by way of a gentle cross-fade, allowing your delicate being to retain its usual state of quiet calm.

Because you have to update to 7.0.3 first, trust me it's a huge difference.
