Well, I just got my iPhone 4's UDID registered. I guess it was worth it. iOS5 is cool, but until a final release is ready, I don't think it's anything to go nuts about.
A bit of a story:
Yesterday, I restored my iPhone to 5.0b2 and played around with it for a bit. Then I went into settings to look around at the new features, and I went to the About section, and saw that I had 91 photos, which was odd, because I remembered around 300-400 photos. So I went to in the Photos app and saw my latest picture from November 9, 2009, me holding a brand new copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops. I was PISSED. I almost put my fist through a wall along with my iPhone. I waited 30 minutes, they were all there.
Here are some important links:
How to find your UDID
iTunes 10.5b2 for Windows and Mac
iOS 5 beta 2 firmware
YOU MUST SHIFT+CLICK RESTORE WITH THESE. UPDATING DOES NOT WORK.
If you are planning to jailbreak your device, use the 5.0b1 file, unless you want a buggy, tethered jailbreak on b2.
TeraByTe has iOS5 as well, so I'm sure if you have any questions he wouldn't mind answering.
I will do the same.
