Intel's Material Declaration Data Sheets (MDDS) database often gets updated with information that has yet to be broadcasted by the company by word of mouth. This is one of those times.

A new Core i3 central processing unit has made its appearance, bearing the BX80637I33210 box part number and the IVY BRIDGE-M-2 die core name.

That would make it a dual-core Ivy Bridge CPU with features probably similar to those of the i3-3240 and 3220, released a couple of weeks back.

The Integrated graphics chip would be HD 2500, while the cache memory is of 3MB.

Hyper Threading should be present as well, along with AVX instructions.

The chip will have a TDP (thermal design power) of 55W, but its price hasn't been found yet. The Core i3-3220 is a 3.3 GHz unit selling for $130 though (120 Euro), so the new one should ship for just a bit less, and run at around 3 GHz too.

Damn that's sick ATM I got a i5 2nd gen and it runs swell :)

Never tried the i5. Currently running the i3 2nd gen and that seems to do okay for what I use it for.

I dunno I heard the 3rd gen wasn't so bad I might get it on my next pc. I wanna get i7 3rd gen

Doesn't everyone want one. Better performance and one of the best to play high intense games on :)

i've got a sexy 2nd gen i7 in my HP laptop <3 love it, amazing for video editing and rendering.

Got the 3770K in my pc atm had the 2500K and then upgraded for the faster renders, it's a beast 720p renders 1 min every 25 or less secs.

I have a quad-core SandyBridge and its fucking amazing. Idk why anybody would want to buy just a dual-core i3 processor. It is an IvyBridge though so it should be better than an i3 SB.

I can render a 10 minute video in less than half of that lol. To render fast you need a good graphics card and a little bit of RAM.

Damn thats very nice. My laptop only has a i5 right now. Its decent but im thinking about building my own computer eventually

So you render out a 10 min 720p video in 30 secs? Seems legit...
