I did this with the ios 8 beta and it fucked up my phone and I had to get a new one, hopefully this doesn't do that to any of you.

Don't do this if you plan on using any apps that aren't in the appstore like iRec, movie box, music box etc.

I did this to my iPod and iPhone and nothing happen. But thats me. If you don't believe you, you don't have to do it! I will gladly show proof if you like me too.
