We shouldn't be planning any iPhone apps since none of us know Obj-C.
 
Im learning it atm, only the basic stuff for the time being.

make a browser with an inbuilt proxy thingy that can bypass school web site blocking programes it would just have to be a simple browser window allowing students to connect to things like facebook, it would be very popular with school kids
 
Yes a portable proxy based webbrowser might be nice.
Load it from your flash drive, no reg edits, untraceable.
 
you can do this with firefox portable running foxy proxy but a CTF branded browser with inbuilt proxy as standard would be a nice first project

The browser wont be the hard bit. The proxy and reg bit will be though.
 
Right, you'd have to get permission from someone with a proxy server.
 
Unless you use public proxies, gather a list of public proxies, check it they are online and let the user pick which ones to use or just automatically use the first one thats working.
Seeing as this idea came out of a web dev idea post, I'd just like to say this is mainly desktop based.
 
yes but its a browser and a tool to acces the internet so its kinda more web development and also firefox is all open source so does this include the addons being open source if so you can try and make foxyproxy intergrate ito the browser and make it run as standard
 
When me and factor say web based, we mean coding in PHP etc, by desktop we mean, VB, C etc as Carolus knows those languages
 
oh ok sry but this would be a cool tool just to have on a USB stick
 
Unless you're using something like VB then yes, a browser would be hard as shit. :|
 
I had an idea for a web based project.
Its not really a full project, like something you would release to the public, but im after a process of uploading images and have an image be added as a water mark.
