My pack weighs 40 pounds. I got plenty of food . I'm also bringing my rod. Going to catch some fish.

Good luck, I think I need a break from the computer as well. The only thing is mother nature can be cruel with the weather and environment if i was to go camping :S

Yea you dont want your pack weighing to much if your going to hike anywhere
Trust I carry a light pack like 25 pounds and yea I can hike with it but if I had a 40 pound one idk That would be a pain to walk around with unless your just camping in one place

Well, don't forget, that as he goes on it will get lighter as he eats his food and uses other supplies.

I'm back. I had a good time although I ran out of Deet(Deters bugs) which forced me to leave. I didn't want 10,000 mosquito bites

It was the height of the mosquito season in the Sierras apparently. I brought two bottles of 100% Deet and and I should of brought 3 or 4.
