I'm CONFUSED, What happened in the Trayvon Martin Case?

I tried to catch up on the news of the case but I'm retarded, LOL. People are saying justice hasn't been serve and people are protesting... So I'm confused, So Zimmerman is going to prison? I think he is I saw a sign of one of the protester saying Zimmerman is guilty and Trayvon is innocent, can someone clear this up and try to explain to me what happened? Thanks
 
George Zimmerman was found not guilty, and isn't going to prison. He's currently in hiding as well, and people are protesting, because they're not content with the ruling.
 
Basically a white male (George Zimmerman) killed a young black male (Treyvon Martin) and in court the white male was found not guilty. He killed him because he was black and a lot of people are protesting because of the verdict. People say it was because of racial prejudice. That is why so many people are mad.

Oh, don't be so biased. Zimmerman is a White-Hispanic, however, his race is irrelevant. There's no valid proof that he killed him just because he was black. The whole thing about this being racial profiling is absurd. Treyvon just happened to be Black. Zimmerman deserved being charged for manslaughter, not murder. He was overcharged.

Well that's exactly why the judge asked for racial profiling to not be present within the case. Which if it was, I believe things could have gone way different.
 
He beat up a guy, I don't know. He just seems racist.

no. your wrong. Zimmerman was part Hispanic and wasn't your typical "racist redneck".
 
Wow, I can't believe it ...... There was soo much PROOF that he killed Trayvon not for self-defense.
 
I would suggest reading the Wikipedia. Alot of people THINK they know what happened but really don't. The Wikipedia document, if read in full, with listening to the recording will explain everything. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shooting_of_Trayvon_Martin it was 100% self defense, and the verdict is 100% legit. It was not a hate, or racial crime, those are simply just internet rumors.

Take a look at that and then decide if it was all racism. the same case happened with a white teenager and a black male. The case never made it past the local news but Trayvons case made it onto world news and noticed by a ton of people. I do not think Zimmerman was racist at all and I don't think he shot him just because he was black also.
