Yes, it's true, if they well and truly kill off a vast majority of bots, I will play the game A LOT more than I currently do.
You're probably thinking, oh you're only saying that because you have shitloads of GP and you no longer have a high necessity to bot anyway.
Well, this is not true; I quit for about 4 months previously and upon doing so, I gave away approximately 350m, which was all of my cash I had in order to reduce the temptation of playing again.
I think this will make skills like hunter and the nostalgic things like killing blue dragons and playing minigames more enjoyable as the social aspect of the game really increases the experience.
Sure, now the economy is going to be fucked for a while from panicking people and the rush to sell/buy raw materials whilst this update is imminent, but it will level out eventually. I'm honestly looking forward to it. What do you guys think?
 
I happen to agree with you. I will most likely be playing more if there are less bots.
 
Either way I'm fine with the outcome, the 2 radicals:
1. This completely fails and life goes on as it is now.
2. Bot's are wiped out or are no longer useful. We play the game how it was meant to be played and have fun playing like normal people.

There are mixes and such, but either way I'm happy.

The social aspect of the game was the most enjoyable of it, the only reason back in 06-07 when I trained legit was because I talked to people while training, and would talk for hours on end, I made some good rs friends and we trusted each other immensely. It was great back then.

This brings back memories :). When I first started, almost the instant I left lumbridge this lvl 50 or so came and helped me. I remember he was so cool, like he was always on to help and he even gave me stuff to get started. I remember for a quest he was doing he gave me a full set of rune to hold so he wouldn't die with it. My brother told me to run (rune was like 200k=alot when you're lvl 20) with it and I stayed. I seriously loved that guy, I wish so badly I could remember his name :(. But that would be awesome to do, helping someone. With all these botters that isn't worth it anymore.
 
Literally the reason I bot is to Piss off all those kids who bitch at me

Like No joke I step out of a Dungeon I was botting to go do some other RS stuff legit I go to the bank get some wood and a Knife and put my 120 cape on and INSTANTLY kid calls me a botter

Obviously I defend my self and he says the same thing over and over and over Like fuck

Botters are the good part of the game

Fagex should be looking to Straighten up how Legit players talk to one another
+ I had this random kid Vouch for me saying he dungeonered with me allot I never even talked to the kid before Then the guy starts to say via PM He gets that allot to since he had 99 =P
 
I agree with you to be honest,I think it's going to be much more fun.
 
Was talking to Mike about this today. He's so lazy, he'd probably play even less then he does now. Or rather, he will.
 
To be completely Honest, I bot a lot, And I rely on Dungeoneering bot, And If bots were wiped out, I would Like it, and Not like it. Kind of like bittersweet.
 
Now I'll be able to go to Draynor village, and actually get some logs!
Hopefully.
 
Hopefully they are not lying about the bot nerf. The bot nerf, it not a bluff, will make RS godly again.
 
I'm going to celebrate this by killing dragons, it's been a while since I was able to without being in competition with a bunch of bots.
