I want my child to call me "mama". Well, it is common but somewhat it brings impact whenever your child calls you that.

i call my father, papa and my mother mama. while me, i would like to be called... anything my children would like to call me as long as it is acceptable and respect is in there. anyways, it still a long way down, before I'll have my own children, even get married, still have to graduate and establish a good career. i ain't rushing to have my own family. hehehehehehe

When I have children, I will want them to call me "mama" or "mom". Here in the south of the USA, it's mostly "mama and daddy" that are used, instead of mom, mommy, dad, father... etc.

In Italy we say "mamma" wich means "mum/mom", so I'd prefer to be called "mamma". But I also get satisfied if my child says "maaaaaaaa".

I prefer to call me dad i wount permit him or her to call me by my name or nickname it is just not natural.

Same here. I would prefer to be called nanay. That is like a family tradition already and I believe it is sweeter and charming.
