There should be a way to "X" the notices at the top, they're annoying as shit.
 
Support, they should be seen the first time you visit the website after they have been added, then replaced with an editable Favorite sections hub, or something like that.
 
I support this idea.
 
Maybe, it's not really necessary, but maybe after X amount of seconds you could be able to close them.

This is a plugin, so the author may add this feature in the future. I wouldn't recommend editing the plugin yourself without the knowledge of the code itself as it may cause some bugs and stuff.

If anything, the ads are more annoying, but the messages keep you up to date with the latest announcements. How would you know if there would be a new board message? How would you know when to resize it again? Sure, you may say something like "When a new announcement is made, make the bar reappear" but as always, it will take ages to code. o.o
 
I support, but if it takes hours to program then don't worry.
 

These are just template edits, and for the ads, they're to keep the server up.
