Alright guys, long time console player here sold my XB1 to fund my drift car but I've still got my laptop (use the laptop to tune the car anyway so it will never get sold). Not the best computer in the world but it's alright I guess. It's a Toshiba Satellite P755, for anyone curious. I just download steam and I have some free to play games but nothing great yet. Once the cars done and I've got some spare money I'm going to pick up some more fun games. But in the mean time, I'm having a really hard time adjusting to using all the keys as apposed to the simplicity of a controller. For example, I'm really quick at typing normally and I know all the keys without taking a second look, however when I'm gaming it's as if my hands get sidetracked and I loose my placement while trying to learn the different controls for every game. I think the reason I'm getting side tracked is because my left hand is basically just wanting to hover over WASD, instead of a normal typing configuration. My left hand is my dominate hand so it's quite faster than using my right for hitting keys. Is there any "defaults" so to speak that most games use (aside from the obvious WASD) and Any tips from more frequent computer gamers?
Tl;dr I'm usually pretty nasty at online games on XBL and getting my ass beat using a keyboard and mouse, need tips.
