Hey guys so I can across a photo and I just need someone to hit me up with a tutorial on youtube or something on how to do this on photoshop.
Thanks people!

There's a couple ways this can be done. I might know how to do this but I'm not exactly sure. Maybe @Hurt or @Sector know exactly how to do it

Thanks mate. I hope to get their attention I'm very keen on learning howto edit a picture like that.

  • Get a picture you want.
    Preferably a transparent png.

    Put a white background

    Put .png somewhere

    Get some space stock images

Put it on top of everything.

Right click the space stock image

From the drop down menu choose : Create clipping mask

Change the opacity of the space stock image in order to fit the .png

    You're done.

I guess here's a little tutorial:

Layer styles used: http://prntscr.com/82xs9p

Step 1: Get a white background

Step 2: Get Galaxy background and put it above the white background

Step 3: Pichu background, it helps if it's a png so you don't have to remove the white/black in the background

Step 4: Hold option and click on the the little thumbnail icon that pichu is in: http://prntscr.com/82xtn1 (the box). When you do it though, you should see your cursor and then a little white box right beneath it.

Step 5: After you have clicked on that little thumbnail that i said in step 4, the pichu should be selected. Then go to the layer with the galaxy and click on it.

Step 6: Click on the magic wand tool and right click, then go to select inverse. It will look like this - http://prntscr.com/82xuna

Step 7: After you have selected the inverse, click backspace or delete.

Step 8: go to the pichu layer and put it on overlay

That's it. Show me how it comes out

Look at my method, let me know what you think. That's what i did

Easier way :

create a White canvas

put the transparent image somewhere in canvas

get space background

Put space background on top of image.
like this : http://prntscr.com/82ydjp

Right click space background
http://prntscr.com/82ycwt

Click create clipping mask

change opacity to what fits the image
http://prntscr.com/82ydwp

FINISHED PRODUCT : http://prntscr.com/82ye3c

I've got probably the best way to do this, but I know for a fact it isn't as easy as whats been posted before. let me know if you're interested, it takes a lot more time/knowing your way around PS but results are better
