So, I am looking to purchase a claddagh ring for someone I know, and I am super unsure of which one I want to get. The price doesn't really matter to me, but its the quality that I am more worried about, and it is really hard to purchase rings that are imported straight from the motherland themselves (Ireland).

I am really caught between these two rings on two different sites, and I wanted to get some more opinions on them before I go ahead and make a decision. Below will be the choices and my reasons why:

Choice #1

-This ring is from the website: www.claddagh.com The name of this ring is the "Mary II" and is made up of 97% silver, and I assume the other 3% is copper, two very delicate and very pricey minerals. I like this ring because it is very subtle, yet elegant. I am not a huge fan of buying Claddagh rings with diamonds in them only for the reason being that the last ring I had given her, the rock had fallen out, and I do not want that happening again, so I made my mind up by just going with something more appealing and holding more value.

Choice #2

-Now, she is not a huge fan of gold, but I like this because the 10k gold heart on it does not take away the beauty of the ring itself. It is a little more costly than the first choice, but again price does not matter to me as I am looking for quality, and price does not affect quality of these types of rings.

What I don't like about this ring is the engraving on the inside in which I cannot choose to not engrave. I am not a huge fan of engravings on rings only due to the fact that it takes more of the precious metals out of the ring itself, taking out more value than its worth, and also leaves marks on the hand as well.

Choice #3

-This ring is the priciest of them all, but not by much. What I like about this ring is the material used. It is 10k white gold with a gold heart. White gold is more valuable than silver, and is not as soft as silver so it makes it harder to scratch, bend, or wear out over time. It also does not have the engraving in it, which makes me very happy, but choices 2 and 3 are nowhere near as heavy or seem as quality as choice 1.

So... Between all these choices here, my two biggest choices to fight over would be 1 or 3.

Let me know what you guys think I should do, and if you are in the UK and know of a better place to purchase these from, please please please let me know where and how!!! It is really hard to find a great website that makes and sell these straight from Galway or Dublin; the original place where the Claddagh was created back in the late 1800's.

@Poison are ring #2 and #3 the same? or am I stupid! hahaha ill choose #2

I really like #3, ring #1 looks like one of those rings you can get from a toy machine at the stores. In the end it's your chose but I think #3 would be the best investment.

I can vouch for poison! He is buying this ring for me :$

I like the third option. I very much dislike the engraving on number two.

Also, be careful with gold if she doesn't like gold though.

I don't know if it's just the photos but the white gold looks a LOT better than the silver to me.

Good luck Poison I wish you the best of good fucks after the ring is given

O & p.s. I think #2 also has black stuff in the crown which makes me dislike it more

p.p.s I re-read all this and it looks like a third grader typed my response but never fear I was just getting thoughts down :3

That is not black stuff on the crown, its just the reflection of the picture.

LOL and that will not be the purpose of the ring, good sir. But thank you for the good luck. Maybe some other time, I'll ask for it
