I.. jesus.. I can't.. my dog... :'(

I just got back this morning from a concert that I went to with my friends last night, (I stayed at their house until early this morning).. I got home, mum is sitting on the lounge with her face tear stained (I thought it was odd my dog hadn't come to greet me when I entered the gate but I assumed he was sleeping before this or something as it was still pretty early..) I went up to her thinking that she might have had an argument or something.. then she said to me that Sonny (dog's name) got hit by a car last night and was killed.. because he got out.. they took him to the vet and tried to revive him but it was beyond their ability to save him and he had to be euthanised..

I just stood there.. idk what to do, I still don't.. I want to cry but I can't, I just can't comprehend he is gone... he's been my best mate for the last 4 years... I don't know what to do... fuck.. sorry guys, ik i probably shouldn't be posting this on here, I just need a vent, I need to tell someone.. jesus I don't know what to do... this isn't a troll.. I wish it was... :cry:
 
This is the awkward moment where myself and a lot of members probably don't know what to say. Some may say it's just a pet but for some people a pet is like a part of the family. I feel for you and I'm sorry for your loss, man.

Damn, man. I'm extremely sorry for your loss. My dog died the same way over the summer except I was on vacation.
 
Damn yo, If I lost my dog all of a sudden, I don't even know.
 
Thanks guys, I really appreciate it.. I can't stand the fact I'll never be able to go for a run with him again, feed him, or cuddle him... my eyes are burning at the moment..

Thankyou, it really means a lot... I'm trying to stay strong about it, It's not the first death of a pet I've had to endure and most likely not the last; but this by far is the worst.. :\
Even though, it only pushes me to strive to become a veterinarian even more..
 
I'm really sorry. Just this morning I was laying down with my dog and I thought of how I should have more moments like that one because she wont be around forever. I hope you got to spent the best times with your dog.

Thanks mate, yea, I did spend a myriad of quality hours with him at least, I'm grateful for that..
 
James, I am so sorry.. I don't even know what to say. You're my best friend, and seeing this happen to you, makes me feel really bad.. I've seen pictures of Sonny, and seeing him go in a flash.. I don't know. I am so sorry for your loss man. . May Sonny R.I.P in doggy heaven.

I feel you Bro, My girlfriends kitty that she saved when it was like 3 months old, And got hit by a car a week ago, While she was at the bus stop, Waiting for the School bus, She saw it happen. Horrible stuff man, I'm here for you
 
Very sorry for you, losing a pet is the worst!
