I have a ton of caves...

So I am newish to mine craft I mostly work on other peoples maps and they say I wish I had a lot of caves. So I finally made my own map and it has like 10 caves (THAT I found so far) and the smallest one takes 5 IRL mins to get to the bottom I have not tried to go to the rest I do not half to dig there so big they have gold, iron ore, and a lot of other stuff. So why does it have so many and why are they so deep and everything is out in the open like gold red rocks etc so I do not half to dig for them like my friends maps? glitch or lucky>?<

You have simply gotten lucky. Most maps have around the same amount of cave systems. Some are just farther underground.
