This damn competition to be over.

Then we'll see who the true forum members are. I wish we didn't have this competition in the first place. Yeah, it's true, when the competition first started I was trying hard, posting a lot. But my posts were high quality and worthy of being posted, unlike the people trying to win now.

I just don't even know why The Elite didn't cancel the competition after the first two days with the amount of spam that was being posted.

Two users in particular at first, Abc and some other random who I can't remember. Now recently it's changed to Demondax, who was actually a high quality poster for the first two days of the competition, who has become the mass-spammer.

I don't know why people can't just legitimately try to win in these sorts of competitions. I did, and then I gave up after Staff repeatedly refused to do anything about a member who every other member was complaining about because of his low quality posting.

To be honest, I think The Elite and Mike held this competition solely to increase the forums' stats. Of course, they don't care about the quality, they just want the forum post count to rise. That's my opinion, and it won't change until I see that they've actually done something to try and combat those members who are using techniques such as low quality posting in an attempt to win this competition.

Until then, I will continue posting at my normal rate. I'll probably then be a post whore when the competition finishes, as at the moment if I start posting a lot I'll simply be accused of being a tryhard and spammer, when I post more high quality stuff than 90% of the members here.

Well, that's just my opinion on the current fuck-fest of a shitty, spammy forum. Hopefully it improves soon when the competition is over, or when staff decide to finally pull their finger out and actually deal with the members who are making this forum the shithole it currently is.

Still here and almost 4,000 posts, well done. I don't even care. I was here long before the competition and before the competition launched I was active. I just don't understand why some members feel obligated to cheat the legitimate members such as myself and some others out of the right to win or place well by posting illegitimate replies and generally low quality spammy shit.

As someone who is not participating in the forum competition, taking a back seat and watching it you can see what some people are trying to do.
I honestly don't think this competition was the smartest thing, I think a better competition would be something regarding high quality posts. I don't know how it would go, but it would be based off of the user who posts something relative and grammatically correct consistently.

I like it being active too, but I still think we'd be reasonably active without the competition and there would actually be replies and content that is useful instead of spammy posts created with no intention of actually creating discussion.

Personally I would like to have seen simply a competition whereby staff members would pick the most consistently high quality user throughout the 2 week period and vote on them to win the prize. Kind of like Member of the Month, really.

Yay, more pointless complaining. Just like last time, people aren't winning, they pick on the posters who have a chance. Honestly, it's a competition, it's meant to increase activity, if people want to win, they're gonna post.

Plus, the people who constantly complain are doing more spam then the people they're complaining about.

Just because I am Co-Owner doesn't mean TE can't decide things on his own. He is a better webmaster then I am. He knows what he's doing even without my approval.

I'm merely posting my opinions on the matter. And just because the staff don't care, that doesn't mean you and those like you have to add on to the spam and make everything drama filled.

Seeing crap like that is getting really annoying. Once again, report and be done with it, if the staff don't want to act, that's their problem, but it's none of yours or anyone else's place to point out what's spam and what's not in hopes to get someone to stop posting.

And, I've honestly not seen that much spam apart from the post blaming someone for spamming. Those are everywhere and it's what ruins the competitions.

You obviously haven't looked very hard then. There's not many people disagreeing with the fact that this place is a cluster-fuck of spam atm, and those who are disagreeing are mainly the ones who are making it that cluster-fuck of spam.

It's just my opinion on spam is those constantly trying to defeat the whole point of the competition by getting butthurt over not winning. THose then go and try to police the forum when that's in no way their job nor does it help. It creates more problems, and adds to the spam fest. IF someone makes a spam topic, here's the best way to not give the creator the chance to use that topic to continue posting in it. You IGNORE IT. Commenting on it gives the OP a chance to retaliate and further add to his post count.

That sounded funny. Open your eyes for an online forums containing a bunch of people you hardly know.

It probably isn't my place to say this but why do you guys give a fuck about what you think are spam post? I have a feeling that you people are trying to get winning members banned so that you have a chance over people who are trying harder to win. If you want the rewards, then try harder.

No. I just don't see why members who spam their way to winning should have a higher chance of winning than anybody else. But meh, for some strange reason, there's a few silly members here who don't agree with keeping spam away from the forums. And, just for the record, if I did win I would have simply donated the RSGP to a member or given it away in a mini-competition anyway, since I have no use for it whatsoever.
