Well today I woke up in the morning, washed up, and then got on my computer that I couldn't use in the first place. As some of you know, my step-mom broke my laptop so I have 0 access to computers when my parents are home. On occasion I can convince my dad to get on for a bit. I explained that I had to back-up all of my files from my laptop hard drive to the mac computer my dad has, and he said it was alright. So I proceeded to do so and everything was cool. Stuff there included: My various guides I was creating for Runegear, my research paper for social studies class, my VB.net projects for my coding classes, and more person stuff I can't mention. Anyway, my step-mom gets home and goes on my dads laptop and everything was going good so I went over a friends house. I come home and ask my dad to print my finished research paper for my class. He then pauses and says: "Umm, Magi (step-mom) is installing Windows 7 on there." I freak out and say if she backed up the files there. He said no, she's doing a clean installation so no viruses or malware are on the computer. I literally shat bricks because all of my important files and programs were on there, now they're gone. :cry::cry::cry: Not to mention I have to somehow type my research paper again... And no, I can't get my hard drive again because I threw it out.
tl;dr Step-mom formatted a computer which I backed up all my important files to after she destroyed my laptop.
