How to use mobile phone as modem?

first connect your mobile with lap using bluetooth .

then using new connection wizard in networking and sharing center, configure a new network, using the blue tooth device. now you can connect to internet using mobile. beware of charge deduction from ur airtel phone!!

You can also use it using your data cable. Data cable data transfer is more faster then bluetooth. And i guess bluetooth will be slower and it will depands on your mobile as well if you have a very good cell phone you can use bluetooth for data transfer but its not good with older or cheap phones.

Isn't this referred to as tethering? And if you do share your data plan from your mobile phone won't your mobile provider charge you extra? I recommend you put that in the original post as I believe it is true.
