How to swap gamertags using Tinker in 2014

Introduction:
Hello. In 2013 microsoft updated microsoft points into the form of currency. For those who do not know, Tinker was a game downloadable on the games for windows live market. This game would allow users to swap there gamertags without having to download them to a console. Most people believe that it doesn't work anymore, but I am posting this thread to prove that it still does. With a bit of experimenting I have finally found out a way to get this to work. I will do my best to explain how to do this with pictures as well.

Steps:
Step 1: Sign in to the live account with the gamertag that you want to be swapped.

Step 2: If you are signing in for the first time on tinker, you will get an error. Just press ok and you should get a validation code for free. Then wait for your profile to download.

Step 3: Once signed in you should have access to the game. Now what you want to press is the "Live" button on the robot. This should pop up: http://gyazo.com/a300195019211cc1f98dbf33bef984ee

Step 4: From there click on "Edit gamer profile" then click on "change gamertag" You should then be prompted with a screen that looks like this: http://gyazo.com/92de9150bd031d78265ffb25c1b157c3

Step 5: Ok, so this is the part were you are pretty much "tricking" the system. What you are going to have to do is click "Add microsoft points." In order to change the gamertag, you must buy the points through tinker. By doing that, it will be recognized as microsoft points and not microsoft currency.

Step 6: Once you have purchased the microsoft points, you will be able to change the gamertag succesfully. Congrats!

Extra info:
Now most of you probably don't want to put your debit/credit card on an account you will never use again. So here is what I suggest.
1. After buying the MS points using your debit/credit card, I suggest deleting it off the account, that way it isn't out there.
2. This is what I suggest doing. Go out to your local CVS and buy a prepaid visa card, or a card to that nature. That way there is no risk and is easily thrown away.

You can also easily use this to swap mains if you only have one console.

Well that's it for the thread everyone! Thanks for reading!
