How to: Get updates to your phone when a thread gets a reply. (For phones with email)

REQUIREMENTS: A cell phone that you can get email updates on.


To get updates from someone elses thread or one of your existing threads.​
Step 1. Set your phone up so it notifies you when you get a new email
Step 2. Click on "New Reply" (
)
Step 3. Scroll to the bottom and click "Subscribe and receive email notifications of new replies"
Picture:
Step 4. Type in what you want to post like normal.
Step 5. Reply.
Now you should get updates sent to your phone.

To get updates from a new thread that you are making.​

Step 5. Post your thread.
Now you should get updates sent to your phone.

If you want it to automatically subscribe you to your threads you can go to User CP then Edit Options, for the Default Thread Subscription Mode: make it Instant Email Notification so it automatically subscribes you.

This is how to get email notification if someone replies. Phone would be an additional plan on your phone. The feature you mention is for email notification, so you should change the title to that.

I have email notification on meh phone but doesn't update it till like every 2 hours..

Thanks dude, pretty weird i was thinking about an app for these forums, i think HF has one, wouldn't be too hard to change the source.

But this is just as good

Well my phone (Droid) comes with it.

Haha, i was just looking for an easier way to subscribe then to click it all the time (im lazy like that). But without you making this thread i would of never knew what it meant, i really would like to thank you for this.

No problem, someone said something about this on a different website and that gave me the idea to make this.
