RuneScape Herb Running Guide
Introduction:
Herb runs or farm runs, is the act of going through rounds of farming patches in order to level up farming as well as earning a good profitable income. An average herb run can take between 5-10 minutes if you moving quickly and can therefore are an extremely good money maker for the little time that is required. However, this is assuming if you are planting profitable crops such as ranarr (Required 32 farming) or snap dragon (Requires 62 farming).
The profit:
Note: The prices were taken on Sunday, 11 July 2010. These prices are subject to change.
For rannars:
The average number of herbs that you can get from one patch is between 5-6 , if super compost is used. The price for one ranarr seed is 25,500 and the price for one grimy ranarr herb is 8,442 coins, therefore the profit can be calculated by:
(8442*5.5) – (25500) = 20,931 gold profit per each patch. Therefore, if you utilize all 5 farming patches you can make 104,655GP profit in 90 minutes (The time required to grow a seed to a herb). You can make 500k+ a day if you do 5-10 herb runs a day, this can generate a huge profit in the long run and can allow you to train money costly skills like herblore.
For snap dragons:
The number of herbs that you can get from one patch is between 5-24, but the average is 7-10 for me personally. The price for one snap dragon seed is 69,600 and the price for one grimy snap dragon herb is 16,622 coins, therefore the profit can be calculated by:
(16622*8.5) – (69600) = 71,687 gold profit per each patch. Therefore, if you utilize all 5 farming patches you can make 358,435GP profit in 90 minutes (The time required to grow a seed to a herb). You can make 2.5m+ a day if you do 7-10+ herb runs a day. This can be an amazing way of earning money.

How to plant/farm the herbs:

3. Treat soil with Super compost, by using the super compost on the herb patch.

6. Finally, return the farming tools to the tool leprechaun when you have finished with you final patch.
Recommended herbs run pattern/method:
Withdraw all the items needed (in the list above).
Here is a good herb run pattern:
1. On your Explorer’s ring 3, use the cabbage port option to teleport to the patch south of Falador.
2. Teleport to Trollheim and use the agility shortcuts to the west. Run into the stronghold, then, run through the stronghold until you reach a ladder. Climb it and farm the patch here. Note: You need to have completed the quest “My Arm’s Big Adventure” in order to use this herb patch. If you haven’t done the quest, skip this one.
3. Teleport to Camelot, use the bank to deposit the grimy rannar’s, then run north (From the bak) until you reach the patch in the north of Catherby.
4. Use the Ectophial to teleport to Port Phasmatys. Run west when the re-fill animation is finished to the next herb patch.
5. Teleport to Ardougne and run north-east towards the patch.
You have finished your herb run.
Conclusion:
Running herbs is an excellent way of making easy money. Everyone should try it.

100k per hour is good if you are doing something else as well.Method said:This would work if you mostly just want to level up your farming, 100k per hour isn't much though.
