DEALING WITH DEPRESSION.
BY: MICHAELLL
Hey everyone, my name is Michael. The reason I am here creating this thread is for the people facing minor or major depression. It is a serious issue that needs to be resolved as it can result in suicide, self harm, etc. I have attempted to take my own life many times, I have self-harmed, I have done bad things but I have been strong & I have overcome depression.
Some of you may criticise me as I am only 14 years of age, but I have had family/relative deaths, debt, eviction, etc. I want to help as many people feel happy and enthusiastic about there lives until it comes to the point where they feel as if they are not needed anymore. I hope you enjoy this thread & I hope that people can take others' feelings into consideration.

HELPING OTHERS
You can save a life. Yes, save a life! All it takes is a simple "Are you okay"? The quiet person in class could have so much going on in their lives, or the girl that hangs out alone, or the person that cry's a lot. Trust me, you can help others so easily & they can feel as if they have a purpose in their lives, unless they don't take it.
DEALING WITH IT!
Be around positive people! Talk to people who make you feel happy, that make you feel safe & secure. Spend time with them, learn from them! Avoid those that make you feel neglected & worthless, stop socialising with them, lose contact with them because all they will do is bring you down until you hit rock bottom.
Reducing intake in sugar is also helpful, eat more fruits & vegetables. Eating healthy can turn your life around in a variety of positive ways! Drink plenty of water & exercise releases a natural anti-depressant in your brain which is beneficial towards you! Just go for a regular walk & trust me, it will help you! Remember, hiding your depression will only make it worse, covering it up & lying to a friend/family member is also not good, you must seek help!
Sports is also a good way to deal with it, find a sport you love & play & try your hardes to achieve your goals in this sport, run around with your mates & have a laugh! It will make you feel good, and remember, feeling bad about yourself will only make it worse, don't be a quitter, be a doer! Doing and achieving will make you feel better, and rewarding yourself for completing small goals will make you also feel good about yourself! Reward yourself with a treat, or a good movie!
Stay on track with your own life, don't be concerned about others as much as you should be concerned about yourself! You deserve happiness, you deserve to be apart of this life & live it to the absolute fullest whilst having a great time, not feeling miserable & anxious about every move you make. I believe that you can treat it with without any medications. Medications are a bad way to deal with depression. Remember that you are the pilot of your own life, don't let others take control of your own life.

MY MISSION FOR THE ONES NOT DEPRESSED!
My mission for you, remember above how I was talking about: the guy that is quiet, the girl that is always crying, I want you to do this. If you go to school, college, university, TAFE, if you see a person that is feeling down I want you to go up to them & ask them if they're okay. Ways to start the conversation:- I have been feeling concerned about you lately.
[*]Recently, I have noticed some differences in you and wondered how you are doing.
Please, one simple: "Are you okay"? can save a life, I want you to post what they answer, I want you to help them with their struggles & let them know that people actually care about their lives, just imagine it was a loved one! It can be saddening when one takes their own life, it is even worse if it is a teenager! I thank you for reading my thread, I tried to make it as short as possible with as much information as I could possibly gather. I am trying to achieve something.
I am wanting to achieve members here to feel happy about themselves, because what if people here are saddened about their lives but don't show it? What's the point of this forum if the members aren't happy with their own lives? I will always put other members before me with anything, I will help others to the best of my ability and you should too. I love all the members here, and I just wish for personal happiness for all of you, on the internet or online. If there is anyone on this forum that is feeling down, please feel free to PM me as I will help you to the best of my ability.
