Hi Guys, Chill here teaching you how to do a proper deal for a gamertag and make sure you don't get scammed. There is a couple of steps so I will be breaking this down. All trades follow a similar outline:

Pre-Sale
Pre-Sale is very important when looking for a gamertag, you always want to make sure of certain things. If you have everything on the checklist below you can move onto the next step.
Find a Gamertag:
Find a gamertag, although this seems explanatory, there are certain things you need to look for. Is the deal too good to be true(GT: Cause for 100$ for example)?
Is the seller trusted?
Check his vouch thread, look through his reps. How long has he been on FK? Does he have anything to lose if he scams you?
Will he use a MM?
If they come up with a hundred and one excuses to not use a MM they are probably trying to scam you and you should not deal.
Get Him to PM you on FK with his aim or skype to ensure he is the owner of the aim/skype you guys are going to be discussing over. Sometimes scammers will AIM you claiming to be someone ensure they are who they are.
The Discussion
During the discussion it is important to be clear and concise. You want to clarify what MM will be used(if any), the exact price how it will be paid, what payment method, who's going first etc... You do not want any confusion during the deal. I suggest Video Recording from this point forward so you have solid evidence if anyone tries scamming. You can use Camstudios which is a free program and can be found here.
Make sure to Teamviewer with the seller/buyer. You want to ensure firstly that he logs into the account and verifys the gamertag once again. Also you want to verify the buyer has a Legitimate Paypal/Payment method. You do not want him buying with someone else paypal only to be chargedback. A clear sign of this is when they are instantly willing to throw their money away with no questions asked.
Once that is sorted out make sure everyone once agains clearly states (Including MM) The terms of the deal. Once this is done we can start with the deal.
The Deal
There are many ways to deal and I will go into the main 4 in detail.
MM: Yes - Payment: Direct
By far the most popular way of trading. The money stays out of the MM's hand and the gamertag goes through the MM. The MM should be changing the PW atleast twwice to help secure as well as the SQ and any personal information. This will make it much easier to do a Customer Support form if someone tries something. The MM should also ensure VIA TeamViewer that the owner of the gamertag is not logged in and that there are no ALTs on the account. The money should always be sent AFTER the MM has confirmed he has secured the gamertag. As a seller the best way to receive PP funds is through Goods with a Note written Virtual Item. This will automatically allow you to win any chargeback, and if it is an unauthorized payment you can add tracking and still win the money.
MM: Yes - Payment: Through MM
This deal is suggested when using non reversible funds such as LR, MP or WU. The MM is required to not only secure the tag like above, but also secure the money. In this scenario The tag should be given to the buyer to secure before the payment is sent to the seller. Also The same concept of securing above should be used. The buyer should always change all information as well as add multiple PWs to help with future Customer Support Forms. Keep detailed logs of all information for your security. In this case the Seller is safe from any and all chargebacks. Although the MM would not normally do this deal unless it is LR or MP.
MM: No - Payment: Half Half
This is the most common deal when no MM is used(not suggested). This is the most direct way to deal and provides incentive for both parties not to scam. Firstly The seller will want the second half of the money, and the Buyer will not want the gamertag taken back and a scam report filed. The normal method would be for the buyer to send the first half of the money, the seller to send the gamertag. The buyer to semi-secure the GT(Change PW once and the SQ). This process should take no longer than 3 minutes. Any longer and you can safely assume there is a problem. The buyer should swiftly send payment within 5 minutes of tag being sent to ensure legitimacy of the trade. It is suggested that you use TeamViewer throughout the deal to make sure no one is getting scammed, and you can see what the other party is doing.
MM: NO - Payment: Direct
This is a very very risky method, it should be done only between two legit and known members, even then it is not suggested. This kind of deal has a high potential for a scam. If you are to do this I suggest the payment be sent over PP so there is some sort of security for the buyer. The seller should send the tag directly after the payment is sent.(You can automatically see the deal if you check your PP EMAIL).
Post Deal
Take extra time to secure the gamertag change the name on WLID etc... If all does not go well(hopefully not) then make sure to post a scam report in the Scammer's Bay with the video that you were hopefully taking and leave a -rep/bad vouch so future members wont get scammed. At this point if the deal goes by smooth a +rep and a vouch should be given both ways.(And to the MM). This will provide future buyers with security of mind when dealing with future members and provide a safer trading environment for ForumKorner
