Note: This does not involve anything that is against the rules.

1. Don't use words like "gonna", use "going to" instead.
Example:
I am gonna get my hunting level up.
I am going to get my hunting level up.
Now this is not too short, but it's just an example.
Yes, this is only some characters, but these does change your quality.

2. Never use any shortening like "atm", if you are afraid it's going to be too short.
Example:
I am getting my hunting level up, atm.
I am going to get my hunting level up, at the moment.

3. Never use words like "u" or "y".
Example:
Are u going to get ur hunting level up?
Are you going to get your hunting level up?

These are just a few examples, but it sickens me to see people that types "too short", the limit is there for an reason.

Well you can, but I think it counts as a Low Quality post. Which is against the rules.

If you can't type a full sentence or more then 20 characters then you won't only be warned, but look like a complete and utter fool.
 

That's the one that I would use. =)
Just try to add different words and make your posts longer, lol, it's common sense. When it looks like you actually took some time to type your post, people respect you more.

Yeah, I usually spend 1-5 min on posts when I reply to the OP.
