How the v1 reset works!

Ok guys honestly i'm sick of people talking about "there won't be another reset on xbox" Or "I have actual reset dates selling them hmu". In this article I will be explaining how it actually works and i have proof!

Alright guys so this is basically how the v1 reset works. Ok so when a tag has been inactive for 7 years it become eligible to be reset. After busy season (which is usually around christmas time) a group of moderators get together such as e, batmayneee, lollip0p, trixie360 etc and decide on what tags to get reset. Then they get manually reset. Once they get reset they go into what is called "limbo" for anywhere from 1 day to however many years. After the moderators manually reset each tag, it takes however many years long for the computer to automate each tag and purge, and recycle it back into use. So there is no set date on which tag or when a tag will ever be reset. I have been literally hawking over a tag that has been inactive for 8 1/2 years and has not been reset yet, even when it gets reset like the gamertag "air" it is still in limbo, so the GT air may not be available and purged from the system for 20 years for all we know. So guys, this is how the v1 reset works, if you have any other questions or private inquiries don't hesitate to message me!

Proof:

Dictionary:

v1: Version 1, pertaining to the original xbox or original xbox accounts on the original xbox.

v2: Version 2; Pertaining to the Xbox360 or Xbox360 accounts created on it.

Limbo: A state that the tags stay in after reset that takes anywhere from 1-X years on when it will be recycled and purged back into the system available for use

Reset: When a tag gets wiped from the system but not purged and recycled back into the system

Remember guys, you heard this first on ForumKorner! If i learn anymore I'll keep you updated!

Sincerely - Hat (Shadow)

Nice post bro and this was very helpful. Thank you!

so why'd an xbox support agent release all that info?

Because their job is to help out a customer. They are after all a "xbox customer support help agent".

I still don't believe that they're going to release any more tags after what happened last reset. it'd literally be stupid of them, obviously they don't want people selling their own property for money, and also don't want retards crying after they get scammed out of their parents money, who then complain to microsoft.

Great post man. That actually cleared things up for me a lot. Thanks

Funny that another support member from the lunch team said that tags does not get reset according to years, they get reset according to regions.

This the best thread FK has ever seen in the Gamertag section. I didn't know something this hq was possible here.

1 reset a month isn't considered the reset. So your thread is flawed. Tags reset all the time. But "the reset" is multiple tags being reset at once. Please move this thread

Wow haha, thanks for the info Hat. I asked this question awhile back, and i got a large diversity in answers, and some didn't seem so accurate. This seems to hit the nail on the head. Although, In my opinion, I feel buying a spaced tag only waiting for the unpredictable reset is kind of a waste since you could be waiting for several years. Maybe it's just because i'm a very impatient person ^_^

thanks for the post now i will understand better and hopefully i get my tag i want

@itgd The reset is all the time, it just it depends when they come out of limbo

@Dizzi, thank you bro i appreciate it

@Dreams, yes i'm aware tags get reset all the time, the tag apartment, capital, and a couple others have been recently reset. And it is 7+ years, but then once they get manually reset it may take any X amount of years to be recycled. The tag Air was reset, but it's still in Limbo.

How much for the guide??????
