I am gonna buy a macbook pro soon i just don't know how much RAM i need on day i will be doing youtube graphics I will probably be listening to music while have photoshop and c4d open while chatting over skype and recording my screen with like camtasia or something. I know its a lot at once but i think 8GB will handle it but i don't know. What do you think?

with Mac's OS (very undemanding in terms of RAM and CPU usage) and running 3rd gen intel processors, 8GB should be enough (a nice thing about 3rd gen processors in the laptops is that they support 1600mhz ram, which MacBook Pro's have) but if you can afford the upgrade to 16GB, then that's totally up to you, but probably not necessary.

Huh i will probably go with the 13" macbook pro retina with 8gb ram. Is 256gb flash storage good. or should i get the 512.

Cinema 4D and Photoshop are big programs but not HUGE so 256GB should be plenty, perhaps get an external HDD for storing your media though

8GB of ram is more than enough for it to run smoothly.

I edit with Adobe AE and other Programs with a 4gb RAM... I really want a 16gb RAM so I can do a lot more but for graphics and such I say 8gb would be more then enough! Congrats on the new computer by the way!

Mac OS tends to not really use that many resources, but taking into account that you will be using things like iTunes for music, Skype and Youtube 8GB should get you on very well. Adobe programs like Photoshop and Illustrator are where you are going to see the performance. Yes, 8GB of RAM should do you well.

8gb of ram will do you fine with your needs. But if you get into professional editing I would really recommend upgrading to 16gb of ram. Don't buy any ram over 1600MHz as you really won't notice a difference between that, and 2100 or 1800 MHz ram.
