I type at a decent speed, but I am not very fast.

How fast can you type?


If you can type fast, how did you learn to type that fast?
 
It's easy to type fast first you need to master all the alphabet on your keyboard.
One thing, if you want to type without see the keyboard make sure you hand is on the right position.

Left hand on alphabet F and right hand on alphabet J, with this you can know the position of all the alphabet easily but make sure you already master the alphabet order on your keyboard if not then it will not be working.
 
I can type pretty fast; I can also type without looking at the keyboard.

Just like what CoolDV said, on your F and J keys, there should be some indent thing. You should place your index fingers on those.
 
I can type past but sometimes i cant type without looking at the keyboard.i want to learn also how to type without looking at the keyboard but sometimes my hand is hard to position.
 
I can type 30-40 Wpm., i used to do some speed typing test to test my skils in typing and then i came up to this speed.
 
I can type 50 words per minute.I learned it when I started working because as an HR I was tasked to do lots of memos and reports.I was also able to enhance my typing skills without looking at the keyboard when I started to encode data for my clients (I do part time research for students' thesis and book reports). At first it wasn't easy but with constant practice it became easier as time passed by.
 
i can type fast when i want,its depends on my mood ,i see sometimes on keyboard but most of da times i dont need to see .
 
i am very poor in typing. i have no any idea to type fast. i cant type fast. but i am trying to type faster than before.

i type pretty fast but I don't put may finger in the proper position. if i put my hands in the proper position and type, I'm not so fast. anyway i'm learning to type the proper way these days better than typing fast.
 
I can type quite fast (I've to calculate it, but everyone says that I'm really fast). I started to type when I was young, about 6/7, so it's an ordinary fact.

I use all the 10 fingers (I don't know if I use the right ones, but I hardly ever make mistake with typing). I learned naturally, typing and typing everything for a long time... without any software or book, just learned where letters are. And of course, if someone types fast, he/she'll be able to type without seeing the keyboard.
 
prety fast...it's easy to learn...practice everyday and when you typing don't look at keyboard...that's my tip..tre it out..xD
 
I can type about 42 words a minute which is pretty decent. In any activity you pursue, speed comes with practise. I have been using the computer for fifteen years now and hence the good typing speed.

typing fast for me depends on your experience typing
if you were years using PC you can type even you didn't look at the keyboard

) for me it depends.
 
i think may typing is quite good enough to finish a paragraph at a certain short period of time, and in order to speed up much faster my typing all you have to do is to practice everytime
 
I can type 73 words per minute, I used to work before in call center and that really gives me a good practice while attending call and without looking at the keyboard anymore. You can use typing test found on the net. that can help!
