How do people get so much reputation?

Lately there have been a lot of people who like to rep whore. They'll ask for reputation or just rep every upgraded member on the site so they'll give it back. This, combined with bitching up a storm to have negative reputation removed, is how you become the greatest to ever have lived.

Color basically said it all. That is all you have to do to gain rep.
