I saw a member with more reputation then his post count, Why can members give so much?
 
Some people buy and sell rep.... It's the illuminati. Damn those bastards

Because people are rep-whores who will rep somebody for no reason and expect rep back. When they don't get it, they get butt-hurt and sometimes neg the person they repped for no reason.

Most people are faggots and just rep4rep. if i repped people back that repped me id have over 600 by now.
 
It's quite easy Hardscope, upgrade and get to know people. Usually it's hard, you've got to do alot of deals amd show your legitimacy for a lot of reputation, this has somewhat disappeared nowadays.
 
So actually about rep4rep? I only give reputation for those that deem deserve it,
 
It's easy. Upgrade and you'll get rep or do gfx for people and you will get a ton of rep.

And that is as it should be, people abuse the fuck out of the rep system here to make themselves feel important. If you're really want to know the quality of someone, look at the comments of their rep and who they've repped.

I never did Rep4Rep, I won't do either, earn them legit.

I know, which makes the latter part of what I said a bit difficult without going through everyone's rep.

Most of my original reputation gained from members was from deals and being helpful around the place. As time goes on that changes and people just rep you for the hell of it without any valid reason. Not saying that's wrong but not what that system was intentionally used for.

I've been around here for a fair while and I've built quite a name and profile for myself. Takes time and is possible for absolutely everyone. Just take your time!

Lately there have been a lot of people who like to rep whore. They'll ask for reputation or just rep every upgraded member on the site so they'll give it back. This, combined with bitching up a storm to have negative reputation removed, is how you become the greatest to ever have lived.
