How can I recover and email like this

I am not experienced with recovering and email different from ending in gmail.com or hotmail.com or something of the kind.

How do I try to recover an email that ends like @gds.net ??

I have tried thunderbird for mozilla, but I didnt see a recovery password option.

I went to the site http://gds.net, and it was just weird...
If they can send you an email then you might be able to know what email provider they use (hotmail, yahoo, gmail, etc), but if they have none of those then can't do much.
