What is you guys opinion on kids who are homeschooled, do you think they are smarter than public school kids because they get more attention and get as much help as they want to or do you think the other way around?

I think that when home-schooled students go to university they'll be completely hopeless, since they are used to being nagged by their tutors and parents.
However thats just a shot in the dark, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong

It depends on who the student is.
Example: I hate school but can pass a test like I ate a book.
Example #2: My friend hates school and cannot pass a test if his life depended on it.
So on, etc;

In most cases I would agree with what you said, Epic, but there are a couple of people who it wouldn't make a difference for.

I think that going to public schools and socialising is extremely important, homeschooling (in my opinion) just doesn't give the same social experience as public schools.

Homeschooling is such a ridicules concept, it goes against the needs of humans: Being socially accepted. Also if you want an education let's say they want to go to university where you're literally on your own and have to take responsibility for your own learning they're fucked

I have been homeschooled, and I can honestly say that public schooling IS alot better, not just because of the social aspect, but you also learn alot about life just through public schooling. Also, homeschooling ONLY WORKS if your parents can devote almost ALL of there time to it. Neither of my parents would put forth time to teach me, so I just spent the whole time playing xbox

Fair enough, that's what I'd probably end up doing. I couldn't imagine being taught by my parents.

It was indeed very awkward. And as people have established earlier, it really doesn't prepare you for college, on any level

I feel better about not socializing much at school.
Most kids I know aren't that concerned with life. They're just concerned with being young and jacking around. Don't get me wrong, I have a few friends that I think are really cool and funny people, but I believe that solitude is something that you have to get used to.

@Home Schooling: It all depends on the person being taught and who does the teaching and motivating. It's a big question to answer and a bigger one to explain.
