It was delayed for a couple of days due to weather. Should be in like 3-4 days now
 
I actually read a few articles about this a few months back when they were still planning this. The guy needs a special suit that is similar to what astronauts wear. Pretty cool.

EDIT:

Technically this isn't about the altitude he is jumped (or falling) from. But the speed he will reach. Whole point of this is that he will be the first man to break the sound barrier during free-fall.
 

He is also setting the record for the highest jump ever. The highest before was 102,000 his will be 120,000-130,000.
 

Well, yes, I know that. lol. I was just giving the reason of why the jump has to be from so high. What their actual goal is.

That is also why he needs that special suit.
 
I've been waiting for this! I hope I catch it when it comes on.
 

Kittinger(The guy who jumped from 102k) also had to wear a space esque suit.
 
Pretty cool wish I had seen the broadcast though :/

EDIT: Watched this earlier My dad apparently recorded it on cable was pretty cool to watch how he handled himself through the entire process.
