High School is useless

Its fun for friends and social life, but I agree, since your like 16 or so?

That means year 10 i think, anyway if you know what you want to do, go to TAFE now and then Uni.

i finished VCE because i didn't know what i wanted to do.

Yes a person that Works with wood
Do you know what it is?

The Elite, I feel ya. When it comes to math, algebra doesn't benefit us in real world. Most of the stuff you learn in English is pretty useless. Shakespeare for example, does not have much use in real world.

High school is fairly useless... but I'm having a lot of fun there! One year left. :tongue2:

Most of the "learning" done in High School is completely unnecessary.
While your brain is in its developing stages I'm sure it may be necessary to ramp up to higher levels of education, but at times it's done much too slowly.

I will say this:
There are some things that I've learned in High School that are truly invaluable.
However, most of the important things I've learned were not learned in any classroom.

For real though, I only go to school to get high.

Even though I pull good grades :tongue2:

The computer classes at my school were a joke, microtype and LAN halo was 90% of the cirriculum.

Looking back at high school the only thing I miss is some of the people. Like all day win said it's just a day care the teachers just want to get paid and leave and the classes teach toward standardized tests which are also pointless, like the FCAT where I live

Algebra can be useful for problem solving skills.

English is actually incredibly useful to know, especially if it's your primary or only language.

To put it simply, Shakespeare did a lot for the English language.

Have you ever used any of the following phrases?

There are many more.

If you have ever used any of those phrases/metaphors, you have directly quoted Shakespeare. No use in the real world? I think not.

Haha. Ohh good times of LANing Quake 3 and CS 1.6. The curriculum is a joke. Simple.

Well thanks TE, sure nice to read something like this when I'm going to start my freshman year. ;'(. I'm excited for High School, you need good grades to get into a good college, and ya, I'm going all the way .

Highschool is for fun. All the shit they teacher you is just a backup to give you an excuse to go.

I had fun in High School, I don't see it much of a waste of time.

Here it is not allowed in the school corporation to do anything to have to do with religious beliefs, besides stuff like about the jews / holocaust and talking about them (etc with other stuff like that. We cant talk about our individual religious beliefs is what I mean.)

And highschool for me isn't useless either. I have a computer class that I am going to take for a second time, for 3 out of 6 of my classes of the day each day to learn how to do javascripting and actionscripting on flash, and I already learned the platformer shit, which platformers to me isn't worth learning XD

Meybe its not worth it at the begining, but yeah.

RS (Religious Studies) is definitely stupid. I'm not religious, I don't give a fuck about God, Allah or any other mother brother.

Tomorrow, we have Enterprise day. We are a specialised school for business. In enterprise day we do business related things, but most aren't e.g build a crazy gold course, cage football, geography field trip, cycle around Sunderland etc. It used to be called excursions day which was went you could go to theme parks/cinema etc, but because 'the school is concerned for our futures' they make us do gay stuff. Even when it was excursions day, I used to stay off. I'm not a great lover of themes parks, so I just stayed at home. I told my mum about the new thing and she's letting me stay off

Do you guys not have ROTC programs?

Well I googled it and came up with Reserved officers training

he Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) is a college-based, officer commissioning program, predominantly in the United States. It is designed as a college elective that focuses on leadership development, problem solving, strategic planning, and professional ethics.

No we don't have that here I don't think..
