If you have purchased xbox live gold. It wont let you remove it until the Gold runs out or you get the Live transferred from MS by calling them.

No you can't, it doesn't remove it.

Yeah then he wouldn't have a problem, If you have used to CC to buy Gold. It won't let you remove it until the subscription runs out.

I'm pretty sure you can altar payment methods. Unsure about the removal.

You will have to try that yourself.

OP you can remove the CC if you have gold. Iv'e done it multiple times. Just call them up & say there is a credit card on my account that i would like to remove. Even if you bought gold with the card you can still get it removed & keep your gold. But you have to call them, It cannot be done on your console or the website.

Yes, They will send you a code equal to the amount of Gold that was taken from the account.

Other than that if MS wont do it, You have to wait until the Gold runs out.

Idk about that. When i called they just removed the CC off my account with the gold still on. They never sent me a new code or anything. Still had my gold.

When my old Main got Hacked, I rang them and got it back.
I removed the CC on the phone to them because that's the payment method i chose to buy Live. They sent me a 12 month code when i had 10 months of Gold left.

I guess it all depends on the agent you get, Idk. All i know was when i gave them a call, I told the lady i wanna remove my credit card but still keep my gold. She removed my CC within 5mins with my gold still on my account.
