I have to say though, I kind of dislike the background gradient and the shadow is thick to me. Nonetheless, it's pretty good. As a suggestion, I think you should drop the background and the shadow and have it as just a 2d logo with a transparent background.

The backing isn't staying and I just used the shadow for some depth so the final images didn't look terrible. Thanks for the suggestion though. EDIT: Most likely using a water surface for the final backing.
