I got an A in physics and I have no clue why they have you watching videos for this. Diagrams are so much easier to follow.

Also, what is the question? I can't understand what he's saying.

However, I'm almost positive that the one being dropped down hits first.
 
I took High school physics when I was a senior in high school, got a B. Now, I have to take University Physics for Engineer and CS majors. I don't expect you to answer them, but I was just trying to see which one hits first.

Here are the questions:

Did the pendulum hit the wall before or after the dropped washer hit the table?

What could you change in order to make the two hit at the same instant? There are a number of answers to this question; try to think of as many as possible.

How close in time would the two events have to be before you would be unable to detect the difference?

Lol, I'm not sure the point in that last question either. I had the second question answered as soon as I seen that the washer that hit the table first. Thanks for your help though.
 
They would have to be the same distance, i.e the one on the pendulum would have to be the same distance from the wall as the other is to the ground.
