Hey guys, so I recently purchased a runescape account for $150, I transfered all my items on it (200m, not much..) then the guy recovered the account and said I either got hacked or I gave out my recoveries to someone else(He was lieing). I didn't even have the recoveries, I had to go to bed the night I purchased it ( it was 4am in the morning)

So I had fun that night, the next morning I woke up the pass did not work :/ I kept asking him for recoveries and all I got for a response is "The questions were How old are you, who's your best friend etc"
Then I asked him I know that.. but what are the answers?? and he never replied..

I'm not worried about the gold that I transfered to that account(I can make roughly 1bil per day), I just want my money back.. so do you guys think I should dispute the payment? (Paypal)

I payed by Goods, not gift.. so I can dispute it.

I need your opinions :wideeyed:

Edit: Just disputed it

Your dispute is open
Thank you. We’ll email you when the seller responds. If the seller does not respond, your dispute will automatically close on Mar 7, 2011 unless you escalate it to a PayPal claim. Don't worry; we'll email you a reminder before the dispute automatically closes. Please note that when you escalate a dispute to a claim, you're asking PayPal to review the case and decide the outcome.

Thanks guys.

I'm never buying an account from a random member again.

That sucks, and that is exactly why I would never buy an account.

Dispute the payment, it will be worth it.

If you are lucky he will have bought something and then go negative.

Dispute it with paypal, if they ask be like I was infected and they used me as a proxy.

He did, he bought gold for the account he recovered.

@Nick, how would I show proof..? Paypal doesn't get involved with intangible items.

They'd just refund me if the seller can't show any proof.

Being refunded your money is better than nothing imho.
However, next time you buy an account I suggest you manage to change the recoveries in order to keep what you decide to transfer to it.
Good luck on getting it back, and on disputing the Payment.

Dispute the payment immediately. If you are being honest a fair dispute may be made.
