Update: Managed to crack it, it didn't help me out like I hoped it would, but I've learned a fair amount so can't complain, thanks for the tips Kobald.
If you can't get it from a worldlist you should switch over to cracking with different software. I liked using rainbow crack (it uses rainbow tables that you have to generate yourself, which can take FOREVER) however it might take a really long time to crack. If you have areally good graphics card, use extreme gpu bruteforcer. This could take a while also, but it's easier to set up. You could probably find a cracked version on TPB or something.
At which point does the GPU become better than CPU for this?
Do you have any preferred cracker? I've been using MD5this' cracker, which is a .jar tool.
Also have PasswordPro (Same people make the GPU Bruteforcer I believe?) but I didn't see how I could load my own wordlist, it wants to create it's own as it goes, but since I've already got a large part of a wordlist done I don't really want to waste time for it to make another one.
Can't really tell you atm right now I'm using my old laptop, but I'm not planning to do the cracking on this.
Sold the desktop I was using yesterday, I got another one coming my way in about 5 hours from now.
I'll be able to give you the specs then.

Er, no. GPU = graphics. When you aren't doing hardcore graphics rendering all the time your gpu is usually more useful than your cpu as your cpu is constantly doing things to keep your os running and any programs you have open. If you have a good graphics card, unless you make a computer dedicated only to cracking hashes, it's almost always a good idea to use your gpu over a cpu.
The GPU bruteforcer only works with nVidia cards that have their CUDA tech.
I have a ATI card, so after a bit more searching, managed to find a ATI card compatible cracker, let's see how this goes.
Also, how can I make sure that the hash type is the one I think it is? (One I posted in the OP).
