I am currently using an older Desktop PC running Windows XP Home Edition. I want to make this computer run like new, but no matter what I try it still runs slow. I've uninstalled all unused programs, ran Virus Scans, deleted all excess crap on my HD, and more. If anyone has any advice, it's much appreciated. Thank you.

Hi, Damnation,

Today I'll be helping you format the C drive on your computer. First things first, you need to have the Windows XP Disc. Once you have acquired this, please insert it into your computer then safely shut it down so this will cause aboslutely no harm.

Once your computer is turned off, I am going to need you to turn it back on. Once it's back on, you will see this:

Press any key to boot from the CD.

This screen will pop-up and ask you which file system to use. It will either be the F.A.T File system, or the N.T.F.S File system. Use the N.T.F.S File system as it is extremely faster.

Remember that it is prone to take a while. So sit back and relax while you're at it. Once it's done, this will come up. There will be a wide variety of options to choose from but we're going to need 'To set up Windows XP, press enter.'

Follow what is on the screen until further instructions arise.
