headphone port doesnt work

unplugged my headphones to do something and next bam they won't go in fully and make some shit static noise

Put a toothpick in the port and start scraping it around. It maybe have lint in it from your pocket.

If you had the headphones wrapped around the phone to tight, it could of shorted out the wires causing nothing to come through the headphones, or there is something lodged in the headphone port.
